Bursaries (2nd and 3rd year students)

Bursary information for 2nd year Statistics students

Each year the South African Statistical Association (SASA) awards non-refundable bursaries to two students registered at a South African university. The awards are made to 2nd year students going into their 3rd year of study. The students must be enrolling for a 3rd year statistics and/or mathematical statistics course at a South African university. The decision is based partly on merit and partly on financial need and we encourage students with good academics and financial need to apply. Please contact Chatelle Clohessy (Chantelle.Clohessy2@nmmu.ac.za) for further information on the bursaries or at this link.

Bursary information for 3rd year Statistics students

Commencing in 2013, the South African Statistical Association (SASA) awards two non-refundable bursaries to 3rd year Statistics students registered at a South African university. The bursaries are given to students who are going to pursue an honours degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics at a South African university. The decision is based partly on merit and partly on financial need and we encourage students with good academics and financial need (which has to be demonstrated) to apply. The funds will only be paid out once the student provides proof of registration for an honours degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics at a South African university. Please contact Lizelle Fletcher (lizelle.fletcher@up.ac.za) for further information on the bursary or at this link.
